Congratulations to our November Staff of The Month, Ms. Piedra! She is truly the best person ever. She never stops smiling and is always ready to help everyone, no matter who they are. In the classroom, she is known for being incredibly kind to all her students. It is clear that she genuinely cares about the kids she teaches.

The Blackland Prairie Food Fight has begun! From now until December 17, BPE will be collecting items in a friendly competition between grade levels.

Which grade level will win?

Here is how your student's grade level can score points:

1 CAN of food = 1 point
1 can OPENER = 5 points
1 $25 gift card = 25 points

Please drop off all items in the BPE office. Make sure all items are clearly labeled with your student's grade level so we can assign points correctly.

Hello Wildcat Families,

Blackland Prairie Elementary is proud to participate in "Caps for the Cure" this Thursday, November 13.

To show our support, BPE will be having a Stuffie Day. Students are invited to bring a favorite stuffie to school with them.

This event benefits Team Brock and The Cure Starts Now. We look forward to seeing our Wildcats participate!

We spent our morning over at one of the many Veterans Day activities happening across our district! Over at Blackland Prairie Elementary School, they teamed up with Ridgeview Middle School to post about a Veterans Day Parade —how fun!

We also had special guests over at Double File Trail Elementary School, where students put together a very special Veterans Day breakfast celebration. Thank you to trustees, Mayor Craig Morgan, and Round Rock City Council Member Kristin Stevens, for joining us this morning.

Pasamos la mañana en una de las muchas actividades del Día de los Veteranos que se llevaron a cabo en todo nuestro distrito. En la Primaria Blackland Prairie, se unieron a la Secundaria Ridgeview para publicar información sobre un desfile del Día de los Veteranos. ¡Qué divertido!

También tuvimos invitados especiales en la Primaria Double File Trail, donde los estudiantes organizaron un desayuno muy especial para celebrar el Día de los Veteranos. Round Rock ISD is pleased to offer full-day Pre-K for children who will be 4-years-old on or before September 1, 2025.

Our program provides a positive and supportive environment with professional early learning teachers, fun hands-on learning, and a dual-language program. After-school care and transportation are also available.

We invite all Wildcat family members who are veterans to join us for our Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, November 11.

Blackland Prairie Elementary and Ridgeview Middle School invite you to join us in honoring our Veterans! The celebration begins with a parade at 8:30 AM, followed by a reception at BPE with light snacks, coffee, and performances by the Ridgeview Choir and Ridgeview Orchestra.

Our Blackland Prairie Elementary staff is feeling so treated today! A huge thank you to our incredible Self-Care committee, led by Ms. Williamson and Ms. Horner, for providing this spooky and delicious Halloween spread. We are so grateful for your kindness and support. Our Wildcat staff is truly the best!

Today we are so excited to kick off this year's Girls Who Game group. We're so happy that Ms. Myers volunteered to work with this amazing group of girls!

Hello Wildcat families. Our first dollar day of the year is this Thursday, October 30.

Students are invited to bring $1 to participate in "Dress Like a Musician Day". All donations will support Caps for a Cure as we work together to BEAT Cancer. We look forward to seeing everyone's creative outfits.

This Friday, October 31, is Mad Science Day at Blackland Prairie Elementary. We encourage students to come to school dressed as a mad scientist or their favorite book character.

We are excited to have a day filled with hands on and engaging science activities!

If you plan to wear a costume, please remember to keep it school appropriate (no weapons, face coverings etc.).

Our 5th grade Wildcats are getting into the spooky spirit! Students recently participated in an engaging, Halloween-themed classroom transformation. They worked collaboratively in a specially decorated room, complete with spooky lights and humorous "tombstones," to complete their learning in language arts!

As part of their reading lesson, fourth-grade students are enjoying a story and even tasting flan before writing about their experience. This connection between the story and real life helps them understand the author’s message more deeply.
