Calling all Blackland Prairie artists and scientists! We are looking for a creative student design to serve as the official backdrop for this year's Science Fair participation certificates.
- Who can enter: Any student interested in showcasing their art.
- Submission format: Use 8.5 by 11 inch white paper. (Preferably landscape orientation)
- Requirements: Include your full name, grade, and teacher's name on the back of your entry.
- Deadline: Please turn in your design to the front office by February 16.
-Winner Announcement: The winner will be shared during morning announcements on February 18.

She works closely with everyone in her class and with learning partners to make sure all students feel supported and successful. Ridgeview Middle School will host a parent information session for 5th grade families on February 12th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
Information for the Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade music programs is now available, including performance dates and practice materials.
The PTA is currently seeking volunteers for the Executive Board for the 2026-2027 school year and for the upcoming Spring Book Fair.

We celebrate National Counselor Day on Wednesday, February 4. Students are invited to wear warm and fuzzy clothing or bring a small stuffed animal to honor Mrs. Kahle.
Fifth grade families can attend the Ridgeview Middle School Parent Information Session on February 12 at BPE from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
Valentine Day classroom parties are scheduled for February 13. Please make sure to sign up online if you plan to attend.
School will be closed for students on February 16 and 17 for a staff development and student holiday.

Fifth grade students will visit Ridgeview Middle School this Tuesday, January 27, and families are invited to the Fine Arts and Elective Information Night that evening at 6:00 PM.
Math STAAR Interim testing is scheduled for January 27 for third and fourth grades, and January 28 for fifth grade.
Information regarding the sixth grade course selection process and choice sheets, which go live on January 30, is now available.
Please use the link in the newsletter to sign up if you plan to attend our classroom Valentine's Day parties on February 13.

We invite parents of incoming 6th graders to an informative presentation regarding the transition to middle school. Ms. Ramirez, Mrs. Archer, and Mrs. Shaw will lead a session designed to help you learn more about course selection and what to expect at Ridgeview Middle School.
This event will take place right here on our campus.

We encourage all parents of rising middle school students to attend. Students are also welcome to participate.

Ms. Tenbush serves as a new teacher mentor, and we are incredibly appreciative of the extra time and care she gives to support our new teachers. She leads with heart, sharing her knowledge and experiences to help others succeed. Through her work on the Lighthouse Team, she models leadership and commitment to our campus. Her passion for teaching is evident in the growth of her students, who thrive under her guidance.

We are so thankful for the guidance and support she provides to our newest team members. She generously shares her experiences, offers encouragement, and helps build confidence in others. As a member of the Lighthouse Team, she leads by example and consistently supports our campus vision. Her dedication shows in her classroom, where her students continue to learn and grow through strong instruction and meaningful relationships. We are grateful for all that she brings to Blackland Prairie!

Spring Picture Day is this Wednesday, January 21, so please have students ready for individual and group photos.
STAAR Interim testing takes place this week for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
2nd Grade Wildcat DADS Teaching Day is scheduled for Friday, January 23.
