Blackland Prairie Elementary is starting a new Brag Board to showcase student accomplishments. Families are invited to submit photos of achievements or proud moments to the front office. These photos will be displayed on the board so the entire school community can see and celebrate the great things happening outside of our building. We look forward to recognizing all of our Wildcats on the Prairie.

Get ready for WIG Day at Blackland Prairie Elementary on October 2nd!

We are launching the 2026-2027 school year by announcing our Wildly Important Goal (WIG). This target will guide our Wildcats in achieving academic success all year long.

To help us celebrate, students are invited to wear a fun wig to school on October 2nd. We cannot wait to see our students' creative styles!

Ridgeview Middle School is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and our Blackland Prairie community is invited to participate!

Ridgeview is currently looking for families, organizations, and local businesses to sign up and host a decorated trunk. This is a fantastic way to support our future Panthers and connect with neighboring schools. Trunk set-up will take place from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Ms. Brill joins BPE as our Dyslexia teacher, bringing 26 years of teaching experience. She earned her degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a Certified Academic Language Therapist. Outside the classroom, Ms. Brill enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog Lexie, staying active in nature, and volunteering in the community.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Sabrina Ellis to the Blackland Prairie family as our new music teacher.

Ms. Ellis is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied Music Education and Performance. This marks her fifth year in education and her first year teaching elementary music. Outside the classroom, she enjoys gardening, exploring new places, drinking coffee, and spending time with her partner and two cats, Walnut and Poppy.
