It is time to celebrate our latest Staff of the Week at the Prairie. Congratulations to Ms. Reno from our Special Education department. She is always willing to lend a helping hand across campus. Even when it falls outside of her role in the SPED department, she consistently offers her knowledge and support to others, including campuses across the district. We are incredibly lucky to have her as such a dependable and generous resource.

What a wonderful start to the day! We had a spectacular turnout for our morning Future Wildcat signing event. It was a joy to see the excitement on the faces of our incoming learners as they officially joined the Blackland Prairie Elementary family and met our mascot. We are already looking forward to a great year of leadership and growth together.

If you weren't able to join us this morning, don't worry! We would like to invite all other new families to join us for our afternoon session. We cannot wait to welcome more of our newest students to the Prairie!

Hello Blackland Prairie families. We have several exciting events and important updates to share with our community as we head into April.

- Volunteers are needed for the Kindergarten and 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony Committee to help make these milestones special.
- STAAR testing begins in April for 3rd through 5th grade students, so please review the schedule to ensure your child arrives by 7:35 AM on testing days.
- We are focusing on math as our Wildly Important Goal this year and encourage you to ask your students about their specific math goals.
- Please remember our snack guidelines of one snack per designated time and water only in water bottles to support a healthy environment.

We are incredibly grateful to our Blackland Prairie families for providing a delicious Ramadan lunch for our staff today. It was a beautiful opportunity for our team to enjoy a variety of traditional dishes and learn more about the traditions celebrated by many in our community.

Today we are celebrating Crossing Guard Appreciation Day at Blackland Prairie Elementary. Our crossing guards are the first friendly faces many of our students see each morning and the last ones they see as they head home. They work in all types of weather to ensure our Wildcats can navigate the streets safely.
