Students are invited to bring $1 to participate in "Dress Like a Musician Day". All donations will support Caps for a Cure as we work together to BEAT Cancer. We look forward to seeing everyone's creative outfits.

This Friday, October 31, is Mad Science Day at Blackland Prairie Elementary. We encourage students to come to school dressed as a mad scientist or their favorite book character.
We are excited to have a day filled with hands on and engaging science activities!
If you plan to wear a costume, please remember to keep it school appropriate (no weapons, face coverings etc.).

Mr. Borja is recognized as an inspiring educator who consistently maintains an always positive mindset. He is an excellent teacher to his class and is described as a reasonable disciplinarian by colleagues working alongside him. His teaching approach is highly regarded, particularly his "amazing" technique for handling special needs students.
The Wildcats are grateful for Mr. Borja's committed service and his positive influence on the Prairie community.

We are thrilled to celebrate Ms. Bryson, 5th Grade teacher, as our Staff of the Month for September!
The nominations we received truly highlighted the incredible impact Ms. Bryson has on her students every day. Her students describe her as an "amazing person" who is "kind, helpful, and teaches with a passion."
Students shared that Ms. Bryson makes learning fun and "keeps our class focused and learning more and more every day." She excels at helping students "understand math and science more better" and is praised for making learning "fun and awesome" with activities like the Question of the Day and Leader of the Week.
The Blackland Prairie Wildcats are lucky to have such a dedicated and caring teacher. Congratulations again to Ms. Bryson!

Please have your Wildcat dress snazzy and be ready for their best picture.

From the very moment she accepted her position at Blackland Prairie Elementary, Ms. Keller has poured her energy and heart into making sure our kindergarten students had the very best experience here on the Prairie. Her hard work, positivity, and commitment have already made a tremendous impact. She is an incredible addition to our team!
We appreciate her dedication to our students and the Blackland Prairie community. Congratulations, Ms. Keller!

We encourage all Blackland Prairie students to submit their original artwork for a chance to be featured on the cover. Artwork must be on an 8.5×11 inch white paper, reflect the theme, and include "Blackland Prairie Elementary 2025-2026."
Submissions are due by October 24th and can be dropped off in the front office, the PTA box, or emailed to bpeptapresident@gmail.com. We cannot wait to see your Wildcat spirit!

Ms. Bryson has gone above and beyond once again this year, learning yet another new set of subjects while also leading her team with dedication and grace. Last week, she stepped in to help in the office to ensure staff and students were supported. In less than 12 hours, she pulled together a group to represent Blackland Prairie Elementary in the Cedar Ridge High School Homecoming Parade. The joy and pride of seeing former and current students light up when they saw the Wildcats represented was truly unforgettable, and it would not have happened without her extra effort.
We appreciate her dedication to our students and the Blackland Prairie community. Congratulations, Ms. Bryson!
