As part of their reading lesson, fourth-grade students are enjoying a story and even tasting flan before writing about their experience. This connection between the story and real life helps them understand the author’s message more deeply.

Get ready to travel the world right here on the Prairie! Our annual International Fair was a wonderful success, celebrating the rich diversity of cultures that make up our Wildcat community. It was a fantastic evening of learning, exploring, and community as our students and families shared their culture, traditions, and research on countries from around the globe. Thank you to all the families who hosted country tables and shared the unique customs that make our school so special. The International Fair is an important event that helps our students gain a deeper understanding of the world and fosters a sense of global citizenship. We look forward to celebrating again next year!

We are thrilled to celebrate Ms. Bryson, our wonderful 5th Grade teacher, as this week's Wildcat Staff of the Week!

Ms. Bryson has gone above and beyond once again this year, learning yet another new set of subjects while also leading her team with dedication and grace. Last week, she stepped in to help in the office to ensure staff and students were supported. In less than 12 hours, she pulled together a group to represent Blackland Prairie Elementary in the Cedar Ridge High School Homecoming Parade. The joy and pride of seeing former and current students light up when they saw the Wildcats represented was truly unforgettable, and it would not have happened without her extra effort.

We appreciate her dedication to our students and the Blackland Prairie community. Congratulations, Ms. Bryson!
