Blackland Prairie Elementary School Mrs. Neal’s second graders at Blackland Prairie are going to meet with a class of second graders from Canada. Mrs. Rollans introduced Culture Grams and Google Earth to learn more about Canada. The class came up with a list of questions they want to ask and have already learned the answers to some of those questions. We were able to “visit” the school and the neighborhood using Google Earth and learned about Canada using Culture Grams. Did you know Canada is the second largest country in area? Our second graders were excited to learn that students in Canada go to schools much like ours, but they are more likely to play hockey after school. We are very excited to meet with our new friends after Thanksgiving.
