Second Grade Tears Up Laptops

The second grade students in Mrs. Neal’s class at Blackland Prairie had the rare opportunity to try to destroy some laptops. These were rugged retired computers used by. After they dropped them and the laptops didn’t break, the students were able to open up the laptops and learn about the parts inside. They enjoyed seeing what actually makes a computer work and identifying the different parts, including the hard drive, memory, and fan. They learned a little about printed circuits too. Watch out for some amazing future electrical engineers!
