September was a great month and we were able to do so many wonderful things with technology. Our students are moving past learning to use technology and are now using technology to learn. Small groups of third graders are making green screen movies with homemade puppets. Our first group of broadcast students have successfully completed their broadcast jobs and were exposed to not only how to use the technology but also how sometimes live TV doesn’t work quite as expected. Our first group of 25 fourth graders are diving back into coding during our after school coding club. Teachers attended a “Technado” 30 minute whirlwind PD session after school on taming their inbox using multiple inboxes in Gmail.
These are just a few of the amazing things going on at Blackland Prairie. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.
